<h2>Overview:</h2> SOFTSWISS is looking for a skilled Systems Engineer to join our team and help build, maintain, and evolve reliable infrastructure for our platform.The Sportsbook team develops a powerful software platform that enables clients to launch and manage successful online sports betting businesses. We are looking for a motivated professional who is passionate about infrastructure, automation, and building scalable solutions.<h2>Key responsibilities:</h2><ul><li>Communication and collaboration with product development team and stakeholders</li><li>Design, deployment and management of Kubernetes platform based on Cluster API (bare-metal and cloud providers)</li><li>Setup and maintenance of infrastructure for production/staging environments</li><li>Design, deployment and management of GitLab CI pipelines, GitOps and Infrastructure as Code</li><li>React to monitoring events (periodic on-call duties day/night)</li><li>Optimization of infrastructure maintenance and support processes</li><li>Participation in the design of complex IT systems</li></ul><h2>Required Experience:</h2><ul><li>5+ years of experience as a System Engineer, SRE, DevOps or Platform Engineer</li><li>Deep understanding of Linux-like operating systems (administration and troubleshooting)</li><li>Practical experience with Kubernetes</li><li>Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, OCI)</li><li>Experience with bare-metal infrastructure (various hosting providers)</li><li>Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi, Crossplane)</li><li>Experience with GitOps approach (Flux, ArgoCD)</li><li>Experience with GitLab/GitHub CI/CD pipelines setup and maintenance</li><li>Experience with configuration management systems (Ansible, Saltstack)</li><li>Experience with cdn, traffic and domain management (CloudFlare, Fastly, Akamai, AWS CloudFront/Route53)</li><li>Experience with monitoring systems (Prometheus, Grafana and similar)</li><li>Practical experience with PostgreSQL cluster (Patroni, CNPG)</li><li>Practical experience with Kafka management (Kafka, Strimzi)</li><li>English and Russian language B1+ level (Intermediate+) </li></ul><h2>Nice to have:</h2><ul><li>Experience with Cluster API (CAPI) and fleet controllers (Sveltos, Fleet)</li><li>Experience with Crossplane</li><li>Experience with Oracle OCI</li><li>Understanding of distributed systems</li><li>Programming skills in Bash, Python or Go</li><li>Experience working in Agile methodologies (Kanban, Scrum)</li><li>Demonstrated ability to leverage AI-powered tools and platforms to optimize workflows</li></ul><h2>Technology Stack:</h2><ul><li>Kubernetes</li><li>Cluster API (CAPI)</li><li>Sveltos</li><li>Saltstack / salt API</li><li>PostgreSQL / Patroni / CNPG</li><li>Kafka / Strimzi</li><li>Redis</li><li>GitLab</li><li>Vault / ESO</li><li>Terraform / Pulumi / Crossplane</li><li>ELK Stack</li><li>Prometheus + Grafana</li><li>Gateway API / Envoy gateway</li><li>Haproxy / Nginx</li></ul>
