What you’ll be doing:You will join our backend team, responsible for our database offering and API services.Our tech stack:<ul><li>Golang</li><li>Rust</li><li>C</li><li>GitHub Actions</li><li>Kubernetes</li></ul>In this role, you will:<ul><li>Be an active contributor to our core feature set, owning feature development end-to-end, including architecture proposals, implementation, deployment, and monitoring.</li><li>Contribute to our growing set of open-source projects, including <a target="_blank" href="https://github.com/xataio/pgroll">pgroll</a>, <a target="_blank" href="https://github.com/xataio/pgstream">pgstream</a> and forthcoming initiatives.</li><li>Collaborate in multifunctional project teams (with frontend engineers, design, PM) to create new features or improve existing ones. Optionally lead such projects.</li><li>Participate in on-call rotations to handle and resolve critical issues.</li></ul>About you:<ul><li>You are a self-starter, that can take responsibility.</li><li>Significant experience developing performant systems-level software, preferably in Golang</li><li>Exposure to Infrastructure technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, Github CI/CD, cloud (AWS, Azure, etc.)</li><li>Good knowledge of Postgres and experience with various types of databases,</li><li>Strong knowledge of distributed systems</li></ul>Nice to haves:<ul><li>Experience with Cloud services, especially serverless platforms</li><li>Experience working on open-source projects</li><li>BSc/MSc in Computer Science</li></ul>Working at Xata:<ul><li>We’re stable.
