About the Role As a Senior Account Manager , you’ll act as a strategic partner and trusted advisor for our clients, taking ultimate ownership of high-impact deliverables and reinforcing our team's role as their primary voice within Monks. You will seamlessly bridge the gap between client vision and internal execution, blending top-tier client management with robust project delivery expertise to ensure flawless execution and an exceptional client experience. We are looking for someone who is passionate about seeking new opportunities to create impactful work, particularly within the fast-paced world of sports and sports culture. Responsibilities: Lead and oversee day-to-day client deliverables, ensuring all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met or exceeded with high operational excellence. Drive end-to-end project management , mapping out scopes, timelines, and resource needs while managing the delivery of complex projects from inception to completion. Act as the primary strategic liaison between senior client stakeholders and internal PMO and maker teams to ensure seamless, on-time, and on-budget delivery. Champion the overall client experience , ensuring feedback is strategically addressed and approvals are meticulously tracked. Navigate and resolve complex client challenges independently, proactively identifying risks to project delivery and implementing swift, strategic solutions. Translate high-level client priorities into comprehensive, actionable briefs by leveraging a deep understanding of the breadth of Monks products and services. Drive commercial growth by proactively identifying, pitching, and closing upsell and cross-sell opportunities to expand our account footprint. Own the account renewal process and design proactive client retention strategies to foster long-term partnerships. Analyze, prepare, and present comprehensive performance and financial reports to senior client leadership, demonstrating clear ROI. Mentor and guide junior account and project team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment. About You The essentials: Hybrid Account & Project Delivery Expertise: Proven experience managing senior client relationships while simultaneously owning project delivery, timelines, scoping, and budget management. Strategic Communication: Exceptional ability to negotiate, influence, and align senior stakeholders, ensuring absolute clarity between internal maker teams and the client. Sports Obsession: You live and breathe sports culture. You have your finger on the pulse of the latest trends, news, and digital innovations happening across the global sports landscape. Advanced Problem Solving: A proactive mindset with a track record of mitigating project risks and solving complex client issues before they impact delivery. C ommercial Acumen: Strong commercial drive with demonstrated success in identifying organic growth opportunities, managing account profitability, and driving renewals. Not a must, but a plus: Experience supporting senior client leadership roles in team management efforts. Experience managing or mentoring junior account executives or project managers. Background working specifically with major global sports brands, agencies, or athletic platforms. Experience contributing to high-level brand or digital strategy decisions based on evolving client ambitions. Experience contributing to discussions that inform product or strategy decisions based on client ambitions.
