This isn’t a traditional product marketing role focused on sales collateral or release notes. You’ll own how we launch, position, and distribute our product so that every feature reaches the developers who need it.You’ll work closely with our founders, engineering team, designer, and GTM Engineer to turn weekly product releases into stories that developers want to read, share, and build with.You'll own what we build and why, working shoulder to shoulder with engineering and the founder to define the agentic Postgres category.<h2>In this role, you will</h2><ul><li>Own Xata’s product positioning and messaging and build the launch strategies for every product release.</li><li>Create campaigns that turn one launch into weeks of content across multiple channels.</li><li>Grow awareness through developer-focused content, SEO, AI search, social media, newsletters, videos, and communities.</li><li>Work with customers to tell compelling technical stories.</li><li>Develop messaging for AI platforms, engineering teams, and modern developer workflows.</li><li>Partner with engineering to explain technical concepts in ways developers immediately understand.</li><li>Work with our GTM Engineer to build landing pages, interactive demos, automations, and launch assets.</li><li>Own the numbers. Run and measure the experiments that drive awareness, signups, and adoption, and be accountable for what moves them.</li><li>Help define how developers think about production cloning and AI-native Postgres.</li></ul><h2>About You</h2><ul><li>You have a real technical foundation. You understand Postgres, cloud infrastructure, and modern dev tooling well enough to write about them credibly, and you can go deep with engineers rather than staying at the surface.</li><li>You own a personal, measurable track record of growing a developer product. You can point to specific channels and experiments you owned, what you did, and the numbers that moved. Not what "the team" or "the company" achieved, but what you drove.</li><li>Experience with databases and AI developer tools like Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar.</li><li>You think about distribution as much as creation. You're always experimenting, measuring, and improving, and you can talk through your own frameworks for doing it.</li><li>You can turn complex technical features into stories developers actually want to read and share.</li><li>You're fluent with AI developer tools and use them fluently in your own workflow, not just for content generation.</li><li>You're comfortable working directly with founders and moving at their pace.</li></ul><h2>Nice to Have</h2><ul><li>Experience with SEO and AI search optimization.</li><li>Experience growing developer communities.</li></ul><h2>Working at Xata</h2><ul><li>We're stable.
