General Role Description Develop and execute solar inverter product line strategies over 1-2 year rolling time frames in the context of the Mid-Range Plan (3-5 years), managing the assigned portfolio and associated product development process from idea generation through product launch Â Role Accountabilities Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Assess markets, primary potential clients, and competitors, existing and potential differentiation of Company's products, and recommend competitive options Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Solicit input regarding potential new and enhanced products and solutions from business unit (BU) team members and incorporate where appropriate to expand the Company's brand into new markets, business, and industries Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Monitor sales and margins for assigned products, report significant changes, and incorporate as input into strategic planning Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Identify and explore opportunities to expand assigned product offerings into larger, integrated systems for clients, including potential use and integration with partner products Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Position the role as the conduit and filter for new product ideas and primary source for assigned products to the development team Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Develop thorough product requirement documents for product and system development Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Create and update documentation for sales presentations and sales application engineering, consistent with branding guidelines as defined by the Global Marketing team Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Create and maintain sales and marketing collateral, experience lists and/or installed base listings Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Provide technical consulting, coaching, and training to the BU sales and sales application teams Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Develop relationships with suppliers as needed to supplement new business growth Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Build and sustain productive relationships with the Company and parent company contacts to facilitate timely resolution of issues and requests for assistance Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Continuously improve the quality and delivery cycle of power flow models used in system studies in collaboration with engineering Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Proactively and positively promote and exemplify the Company brand to internal and external contacts and the general public Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Report results to BU and Company management, including, but not limited to, research, analysis, evaluation, and recommendations, as assigned Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Provide timely communication of product development plans and schedule to appropriate BU and Development teams Â General Employee Accountabilities Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Bring full effort to bear on tasks assigned by manager Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Give manager best advice Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Give earliest notice when work cannot be delivered as specified Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Cooperate and collaborate with peers and interact cross-organizationally as specified by manager Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Exemplify Company Core Values: Integrity, Client Focus, Team Orientation, and Personal Commitment Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Comply with all Company policies, practices, and procedures and all regulations and laws Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Recommend viable improvements proactively Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Ensure effective utilization of business tools and processes Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â BS degree in electrical, mechanical, or related engineering; or related physical or applied science; or equivalent via education and/or work experience Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â 3 years of application engineering or design experience in inverters and photovoltaic system Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â 3 years of experience in product management or technical sales Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Demonstrated experience in utility scale power generation Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Demonstrated experience developing product roadmaps and long-term product plans Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Demonstrated prioritization skills required for developing a business case for new product or solution development or enhancement, or new market, business, or industry entry or expansion Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Strong visual graphics capabilities to ensure publications are both attractive and informative Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Excellent writing skills Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Excellent presentation skills Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Demonstrated success collaborating cross-functionally Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Demonstrated successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other internal and external contacts Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Demonstrated successful and positive personal leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and communication skills Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Demonstrated continuous improvement in areas of responsibility Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Availability to travel, domestically and internationally, up to 25%, sometimes with limited notice Preferred Qualifications Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Bachelor of science in electrical, mechanical, or related engineering discipline Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â MBA Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Demonstrated experience in a product management role Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Demonstrated experience developing financial business cases Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Demonstrated experience in transformers used for inverters, drives, and power conversion Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Demonstrated experience in commercial and industrial, âbehind the meterâ energy management Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Familiarity with power flow models including PSSE, PSLF, PSCAD, and ASPEN Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Demonstrated successful presentations at user conferences, trade shows, and similar events Hiring Range: $145,900 - $218,900 Â Link to TMEIC Corporation Americas website https://www.tmeic.com/.
