Job Description Job Title: Cost Engineer Job Code: ESD421 Department: Cost Estimation Section Industry: Oil & Gas / Engineering Projects Job Location: Saudi Arabia Interview Location: Singapore (Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend the interview in Singapore for a face-to-face interview.) Job Purpose The Cost Engineer is responsible for preparing cost estimates, monitoring project budgets, and supporting cost control activities for engineering and construction projects. The role ensures accurate cost forecasting and supports project teams in maintaining financial efficiency throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates for engineering, procurement, and construction projects. Analyze project scope, materials, labor, and equipment costs to develop accurate project budgets. Support cost control and budget monitoring during project execution. Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to determine cost requirements . Prepare cost reports, forecasts, and variance analysis . Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams for cost-related inputs. Identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements . Ensure compliance with company procedures and industry standards for cost estimation. Requirements Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field . Experience: Minimum 8–10 years of experience in Cost Engineering / Cost Estimation , preferably in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or large EPC projects . Technical Skills Cost estimation and budgeting Project cost control and monitoring Cost analysis and forecasting Knowledge of EPC project costing Familiarity with engineering drawings and project specifications
